The following boats are all available at Up and Under Watersports at Cardiff Marine Village for trial on the river that flows past the site. You can contact Up and Under Watersports on 02920 227663 or email: watersports@upandunder.co.uk to arrange a date for demoing your chosen boats. Demoing will be available most wednesdays and saturdays (and sundays April through to September inclusive).

With a supplier such as System X there are always lots of things happening and for the 2009 this is no diifferent. There are lots of new products coming and they are deatiled below by manufacturer.

Liquid Logic

2009 will see several new boats from Liquid Logic for different areas.

Liquid Logic Biscuit

The playboaters out there will be graced with a new model that is called the Biscuit (a snappy name). This will appear by taking all the best bits from the last few boats they have produced, putting them together and tweaking them slightly to work together in perfection. The Biscuit will feature a hull that offers great speed, plenty of bounce and has a loose feel. The full length of the side walls is stiffened with a bumper, this helps you to throw really good blunts. This amazing boat is available in three sizes, small, medium and large and will also offer great comfort through their super comfy Bad Ass outfitting.

Liquid Logic Remix XP

Recreational paddlers should look at the Liquid Logic Remix XP. This continues on from the White Water Remix series. The Remix XP is very similar but it features a rear hatch and bulkhead. It is an ideal kayak for people wishing to do gentle river cruises or even short coastal trips. The directional stability of the kayak is helped with the prescence of a retractable skeg while the comfort is achieved once again with the Bad Ass fittings. The Remix XP is available in 2 sizes.

Firstly for female white water paddlers we have the new Bella buoyancy aid which is an over head style that features an integral sports bra and offers a great degree of comfort.

Astral V-Eight

For all those paddlers who enjoy a day out rock hopping along the coast or a day cruising down a peaceful river there is the new Astral V-Eight. The V-Eight is the first buoyancy aid that features airscape breathable technology. It also features a high cut back that works particularly well with the high position seats that are now seen on so many of the current touring and sit on top kayaks.

Gumotex

Gumotex Eagle

The first days of sunshine this year will be glowing on the new Gumotex Eagle. The Eagle is an inflatable canadian canoe that measures 335cm in length, 91cm in width, weighs 13kg and is suitable for 2 paddlers. With the fact that it is inflatable this makes it ideal for people who do not have vast amounts of space for storing a traditional canoe. It also eradicates issues such as needing to have a roof rack. The concept of inflatable craft are ideal when it comes to taking holidays to far flung corners of the globe as they often can pass as normal hold luggage.
