Lyon Equipment Courses
IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association)
- IRATA Level 1 - 5 days - A technician who is able to perform a limited range of rope access tasks under the supervision of a level 3 supervisor.
- IRATA Level 2 - 5 days - A lead technician who is capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing other rope access tasks under the supervision of a level 3 supervisor.
- IRATA Level 3 - 5 days - A technician / supervisor who is capable of complete responsibility for work projects; is able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required of levels 1 and 2; is conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation; has a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques; holds a current first aid qualification and has knowledge of the IRATA cetification scheme.
Work at Height
- 1day - Suitable for: Steel erectors, Entertainment industry technicians, Tower and mast climbers, Scaffolders and Building maintenance workers.
Evacuation from Height
- 1day - Specific to developing escape and rescue plans to increase safety levels and address risks identified in assessments of elevated places such as cranes, roofs, gantries and cable cars.
IRATA Re-assessment
All qualifications require re-assessment every 3 years.
- IRATA Level 1 Re-assessment - 3 days.
- IRATA Level 2 Re-assessment - 3 days.
- IRATA Level 3 Re-assessment - 3 days.
Personal Protection Equipment selection, care, maintenance & inspection courses
- PPE Inspection - 1 day - Suitable for: Rope access technicians, Mountain rescue personnel and all workesr at height.
- PPE Inspection - Competent Person Certificate - 3 days - Suitable for: Rope access supervisors, Mountain rescue equipment officers, safety supervisors and others responsible for work-sites or stores.
