The Bending Branches Explorer Plus is a white water canoe paddle that offers maximum performance levels. The shaft has been constructed from an 18 layer laminate of basswood, finished with a freestyle palm grip, whilst the blade is made from a combination of basswood and roasted basswood. Both sides of the blade are coated with a 4oz layer of fibreglass for protection, as well as featuring a full rock guard wrap to protect against wear.

The Bending Branches Explorer Plus is the wooden canoe paddle that you should really want! It is suitable for most aspects of Canadian Canoeing, such as exploring, touring, tripping and also white water canoeing.

The Bending Branches Explorer Plus features an 18-layer laminated basswood paddle shaft. The laminated shaft provides a greater level of stiffness for selected paddle strokes and added performance. The shaft is finished off with a freestyle palm grip, whilst the blade has been made with a combination of basswood and roasted basswood. It then incorporates two different levels of protection to maximise durability. The first layer of protection is a 4oz fibreglass coating on both sides of the paddle blade. This will add some extra stiffness and also help to protect the wood. The second level of protection is the full rock guard warp. This is the solid edge around the blade that protects against rock jabbing and enhances the durability of the blade edge.
