Camalot C4 Ultralight

The Black Diamond Camalot C4 Ultralight is the only option for fast and light objectives where being lightweight is essential. It has had a drastic reduction in weight in comparison with the standard C4 Camalot, meaning it will take you higher than ever before. With a Dyneema core stem instead of the traditional steel cable, the Ultralights shave weight but maintain strength throughout the unit. It was in fact the BD C4 Ultralight that helped take Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold up the Nose on El Capitan in 1:58.07 to gain The Nose Speed Record!

The Black Diamond C4 Camalot Ultralight is probably the lightest camming device out there. With a Dyneema core stem, instead of the traditional steel cable, the Ultralights shave weight but maintain strength throughout the unit. The cam lobes are sculpted and shaved to reduce weight further. Another weight-saving feature is the 14mm Dyneema tape sling which replaces the wider nylon of the standard C4.

On fast-and-light missions and smash-and-grab ascents when weight really matters, the Black Diamond Camalot Ultralight presents a 25% weight saving over the Camalot. With sculpted lobes that account for a portion of the weight savings, the Camalot Ultralight features a dyneema cord in place of a cable with all of the same strength you rely on. A double-axle design allows for the widest placement range possible for each cam device, and colour coding makes for easy identification when quick pro is paramount. When light is right, the Camalot Ultralight is essential.

Features:

Dyneema core stem design is strong, durable and low-profile
