Chris Sladden Books The Welsh Rivers

Patrick Clissold, Tom Laws and Chris Sladden have spent lots of time improving the new Welsh Rivers book, It has been fully updated, modernized and in certain areas the grades have been adjusted to suit the levels of today's paddling.

The new guide to Wales will give paddlers information on what river grades are, how river grades are calculated and what sort of challenges you can expect. It also contains the information / exceptions to this rule. This exception will include things such as waterfalls and weirs.

The rivers included within the guide have also been grouped in several different ways. Firstly they have grouped them by catchment and secondly they have then grouped them by river grading. This really does make it easy to find the rivers you want to paddle.

Each section of the river or suggested trip gives you the length of the kayaking trip, the grade of the water, the gradient of the river and and a rating of the level of when the guide was updated for that specific section.

The Welsh Rivers Guidebook is back! Chris Sladden, Patrick Clissold and Tom Laws have worked very hard over the last few years and the 2nd edition of this book looks awesome. The new book has been fully updated for the technical river information. There is a good selection of new photos that will certainly tempt you to go and explore new rivers. For those of you who were lucky enough to have the old version, you will have also noticed that the new guide has got a new format, the major one here is the rivers being categorised by their grade.
