The DMM Vertex Hammer is a very lightweight technical mountaineering tool with modular pick system, for use in a wide variety of alpine terrain. The shaft geometry is straight enough to be efficient on less steep ground and for plunging in snow, yet curved enough to have a precise swing and provide clearance over ice bulges.

Minimalist hot forged head, for strength and durability. Designed to comfortably fit the hand.
Raised spine on pick allows the tool to be used with, or without, an adze or hammer.
DMM’s tried and tested highly functional compact adze, perfectly formed for cutting out belays and preparing ice screw placements.
New compact hammer ideal for driving in pitons and adding weight to the swing of the axe.
Equal weights on both the adze and hammer, give a balanced swing when using two tools.
Strong and light anodised aluminium shaft, for reliable support.
Large tethering points in the head and spike, for ease of clipping and security
