Manufacturer:
The Meindl Meran GTX is a durable and waterproof Nubuck leather men's hiking boot that's part of the Comfort Fit range. It's 4mm wider at the forefoot compared to regular Meindl boots and incorporates a GoreTex membrane for waterproofing. With medium flex and solid lateral support, it's great for hills and simple mountain terrain. The Meran GTX comes with a Meindl Comfort Hiker sole for reliable traction on various surfaces, making it perfect for light hikes and trails.

The Meindl Meran GTX walking boot is designed as part of the Comfort-Fit range for hikers with slightly wider feet. Boasting 300 years of skilled shoemaking, Meindl introduced the Comfort-Fit range to provide a supportive, easy fit with an enhanced natural rolling movement. The uppers are made from Nubuck leather with wax providing a durable exterior. Paired with a GORE-TEX lining the boot is fully waterproof and protective in all conditions. The Comfort-Fit footbed is made from cork with a cushioning fleece lining and is wider at the front of the boot in both width and height. The wider base means more surface area to stand on giving more support than the standard footbed, more capacity for movement and reduced pressure.

The Meindl Meran GTX boot is a sturdy hill walking boot  from the Meindl Comfort Fit range which means that it has a generous width in the forefoot area and is therefore worth considering if you have a wide foot. The Meran is 4mm wider in the forefoot than say the Meindl Borneo.

Boot Care:
Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
