The Palm Atom Pants are a super durable, 3-layer dry trouser designed to suit most types of canoeing and kayaking. 3-layer means that the waterproof membrane is protected by a proper fabric scrim, rather than a protective print or nothing. This increases the lifetime of the product considerably.
Starting from the bottom, the pants have sewn and taped waterproof socks with reinforced soles to keep your feet dry. However as with any dry suit or dry trouser it is imperative you wear footwear over the top to protect the fragile seams. There are then Velcro adjustable ankle cuffs to give a close fit.
Moving up the pant, the knees and the seat are reinforced with a heavier weight nylon. These are the areas of the trouser that get the most wear so this will greatly increase the life of the trouser. Reflective piping and logos will help you stay visible in low light conditions as well as looking sharp in all your kayaking videos.
The waist of the pant features a twin waist tunnel design which layers brilliantly with a dry cag such as the Palm Atom and creates a good seal. The inner fabric is a thin waterproof membrane and the tough outer fastens tight with two large Velcro tabs. The pants have Palm’s 4D cut for maximum freedom of movement and comfort both in and out of the boat. This is a great help when moving quickly across tough terrain in the event of a rescue as well as when spending several hours sat in your boat on long trips.
