The Palm Bora has been made with a tough and durable, high performance, four-layer fabric which features extra reinforcement in key wear areas such as the elbows, knees and the seat. It's super easy to get on/off thanks to the rear access zip that runs across the back of the shoulders and curves around the tops of the arms. Palm have opted to use a TiZip MasterSeal Zip and there is a second zip located around the seat area which enables you to drop the seat for easy toilet stops without having to remove all your kayaking gear.
The neck seal is a GlideSkin neoprene cone which offers comfort while still giving a good seal against water ingress. This then features an adjustable outer collar which incorporates the kayak helmet compatible hood. The hood has a volume adjuster, a stiffened peak and reflective detailing. The chest of the bora features a large kangaroo style pocket which is easily accessed via a zip on each side. The pocket is fleece lined for extra warmth and comfort.
The waist system is a double affair which enables you to get a good seal with your kayak spray deck. Internally, within the trousers there is a neoprene waist band which helps to keep the trousers up and in the correct position. While at the base of the trousers you will find there are fabric socks to keep the feet dry. The ankles have a Velcro adjustment strap to ensure it all sits in the correct place. The efficiency of the fabric sock is great, as long as they are well looked after, so its worth wearing them with a pair of kayaking shoes.
