The Palm FX PFD is a buoyancy particularly suited towards freestyle kayaking. It features an over-the-head design in a small and compact shape that offers plenty of freedom of movement. The internal foam is soft so it contours with the body, and once all the tension straps are adjusted correctly it will hug the torso firmly and securely. There's also a handy front pocket for keeping essential items such as your ear plugs close to hand.

The Palm FX PFD is a great all round option for white water kayaking. However the FX PFD is particularly well suited towards kayak playboating due to the low profile design, combined with plenty of freedom of movement.

Palm have designed the FX PFD to feature a low profile design that is easy to get on and off via an over the head design. They have opted to use a very soft and flexible foam which gives good levels of comfort. The outer fabric which is a 200d nylon offers a balance between keeping the weight down and toughness and durability. The FX PFD offers a snug and secure fit on the paddlers torso, due to the 3d waist belt. The side chest compression straps and also the adjustable shoulder straps offer further adjustment. A large front pocket which is easily accessed by a zip offers plenty of storage. Internally there is then an anchor point and a small mesh pouch. The mesh pouch is perfect for keeping your kayaking ear plugs safe when not in use.
