The Palm Nova Boots are the ideal option for sea kayaking and open canoeing adventures, perfect for keeping your feet warm, dry and comfortable on the water. Due to the extra height of these boots, they will create an enhanced seal when tucked into the double ankle seal of a kayak dry suit.
The Nova boots feature a 4mm neoprene construction which also incorporates a quick drying thermal liner for added warmth. The cut of the neoprene section finishes just above the ankle. The top section is then finished with a 3-layer material which adds extra protection in deeper water. This section is fully waterproof and breathable; it also features a calf cinch to ensure they don’t drop down.
All of the seams have also been glued and blindstitched for the best levels of performance and durability. The fabric section of the boot is fully waterproof, the seams are taped and there is also a tensioning strap around the top. This fabric is breathable so it will still work in conjunction with a sea kayak dry suit.
As for the base of the boot, this incorporates the legendary Palm diamond traction sole unit. This offers great grip on the majority of surfaces, it also has good level of stiffness, so when you're getting in and out or doing a portage you will have good support for the foot. Further support and stability for the foot is achieved by the addition of the Velcro adjustable straps that appear across the front of the foot and also around the rear of the heel. These help to lock the foot firmly and securely in the boot.
