Manufacturer:
The Petzl Am'D karabiner is great for most uses and thanks to its D-shape it's one of the strongest and lightest locking carabiners out there. The 'D-shape' has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of all karabiner designs. The shape and size of the AM'D is great for most uses, such as connecting a belay device to your harness or as a connector at the end of a lanyard. The D-shape makes it one of the strongest and lightest locking carabiners Petzl makes.

The Petzl Am’D lightweight asymmetrical karabiner is made of aluminium. It has a D shape particularly suited for connection to diverse equipment such as descenders or positioning lanyards. Its fluid interior design and Keylock system facilitate handling. The Am’D carabiner is available in three locking systems: automatic TRIACT-LOCK or BALL-LOCK system, or the manual SCREW-LOCK system. Am'D may be used with a CAPTIV positioning bar to favor loading of the carabiner along the major axis, to limit the risk of it flipping and to keep it integrated with the device.

Features:
D shape is particularly suited for connection to equipment such as descenders or positioning lanyards

Easier handling:
Fluid interior design limits the risk of having a catch point and facilitates rotation of the carabiner
Keylock system to avoid any involuntary snagging of the carabiner
H-shaped cross-section:
Ensures an improved strength-to-weight ratio
Protects markings from abrasion

Available in three different locking systems:
TRIACT-LOCK: automatic locking with triple-action gate opening
