The Pyranha SurfJet 2.0 is a highly versatile sit-on-top kayak. The name SurfJet is not new to Pyranha though, the original SurfJet 305 was first launched back in the late 1990's and at the time it was a state of the art kayak for surfing. The new version still features a sit on top kayak design and it's still a great surfing kayak that's been built to the high expectations people expect from Pyranha. So no real changes other than a more up-to-date and modern design!
The Surfjet 2.0 sit-on-top kayak features a stackable design and self bailing hull system. This offers great levels of safety, as in the event of a capsize you can simply turn the kayak over and climb back on. It has a carrying capacity of up to 110Kg, so is also suitable for larger paddlers. It features a large moulded in seat, footrests and a side carry handle. There are also two further carry handles on the front and rear of the kayak. On the front, there is a small rear facing child seat, this is great for taking a smaller child with you.
If you're looking to use the SurfJet for some river exploration, there are two options for storage. On the rear of the kayak there is a tankwell which is suitable for a drybag. Whilst in the centre of the kayak, there is a moulding that's perfect for an additional 3L storage pod. This kayak storage pod is an optional extra. One of the other additional optional extras if the portage wheel. This is simply bolted onto the rear of the kayak, it will also make it very easy to get the kayak to and from the waters edge.
