The Salewa Wildfire GTX Women's is a comfortable tech approach shoe, equipped with a versatile POMOCA Speed MTN sole for grip, traction and sure-footed climbing precision on technical mountain approaches, scrambles, traverses and climbs.
The Pomoca Butilic rubber utilised is a great rubber for climbing in the wet or dry, and the nice deep lugs on the outsole means that soft ground shouldn't present much of a challenge. A climbing zone under the toes is also present for increased contact with the rock. The EXA Shell technology also improves torsional stability, providing a better platform for your foot.
The Wildfire is Gore-Tex® lined, which means waterproof and breathable, and so ultimately, a dry foot. The OrthoLite footbed is comfortably cushioned underfoot, and helps to wick the sweat away. The shoe is Vegan Friendly, so animal lovers need not be concerned, and can scramble with a sound foot and a sound mind.
As with all shoes, we would recommend coming in to try them out for the fit, but if you can't, the sizing is fairly accurate and the width is average, but good for those with slim heels thanks to the 3F System.
