Up and Under in Cardiff, UK, proudly stocks a range of Sea to Summit camping and adventure gear, designed for durability and performance. Founded by Roland Tyson in 1983, the brand began with handmade outdoor equipment crafted on a sewing machine in his bedroom. By 1991, Sea to Summit was born after outfitting a remarkable expedition that climbed Mt. Everest from sea level to the summit. Roland’s passion for creating lightweight, durable gear drove him to test his designs in the rugged Australian outback and the Himalayas.
In 1993, Penny Sanderson joined Sea to Summit, bringing her exploration expertise from Australian Geographic. Together, Roland and Penny grew the brand into a global success, combining their love of travel and innovative design. Today, Sea to Summit remains committed to delivering high-quality, field-tested gear, ensuring adventurers are equipped for their journeys worldwide.
