The Thule SlideBar is the premier set of roof rack cross bars in the range, they are designed to slide out proud of the vehicle to make for really easy loading. Thule SlideBars also carry the "Red Dot and If-Design award"

Thule has designed their SlideBars to make a sliding roof rack system. These roof rack cross bars secure to a foot kit (Thule 754, Thule 753) in the same way as all the other cross bars. The SlideBar isn't as low profile or as aerodynamic as the WingBar but due to the slide system it makes it very easy to load. On the end of each bar, there is a small clip. Once this is levered upwards, the cross bars will then slide out 60cm proud of the vehicle. This makes for very easy loading as all you need to do is lift your chosen load and place it on the bar. You no longer have to reach outwards over the car. The Thule SlideBar still features the T-Track system and the classic no slip strip to offer a secure firm loading position for your kayak.
