The Valley Round Hatch Rim is ideal for adding extra storage to your sea kayak. It is as per the day hatch rims which are fitted on Valley kayaks such as the Etain and the Nordcapp. The rim is easily secured with adhesive. It then offers a perfect fit with regards to the tolerance of the Valley round hatch cover.
The Valley round kayak hatch rim is made from plastic which is very tough and durable. This kayak hatch will retro fit onto most Valley kayaks; it will also work with some other brands! It works very well when used in conjunction with the VCP round hatch cover.
There are three sizes, corresponding to the 3 type of round hatch that Valley offer.
The 'Day Hatch' refers to the hatch generally found to the rear of the cockpit. 'Front Hatch' is the round Bow Hatch for a RM boat, while 'Large Composite' is for a round Bow hatch on a composite kayak.
