The Werner Sherpa Carbon 1 Piece Bent Shaft is a high specification set of white water kayaking paddles that are ideal for river running. Featuring medium sized blades, they offer the correct levels of power for small to medium sized paddlers.

Werner designed these river running paddles to feature a full carbon construction. The mid sized paddle blades of the Werner Sherpa offer good levels of power; they also feature a multi-layer carbon construction. This means that the blades are thinnest at the point where they join the paddle shaft, they then get thicker in the mid section and then even thicker at the end of the paddle. The carbon paddle blades offer good levels of stiffness and rigidity which all equates to enhanced power; they are then mounted on a cranked kayak paddle shaft. A cranked shaft is designed to ensure that the hands and wrists are all correctly aligned. This then helps to reduce fatigue, potential injury and also stress; all of these are things that can occur on longer kayaking trips. The hand position on the paddle shaft also includes an indexed grip area. This helps to achieve full contact for the hands and fingers, it also offers greater levels of control which leads to greater levels of performance.
