The well-trusted Black Diamond Express Ice Screw has been around for years and happens to be the easiest and fastest placing ice screw on the market. They have seen a few improvements in their time, the most recent being lengthening of the teeth, the addition of a second clipping point on the hanger and adding a bevel shape on the colour coded handle to improve grip. The handle allows the screw to be spun in or out of the ice with speed, and without changing hand position. The tube of the screw is tapered out so that the teeth cut a slightly larger hole than the tube - this reduces friction during placements.

The Petzl Caritool is a non-PPE rated karabiner designed for carrying extra tools/equipment on your harness. It's lightweight yet durable and is the ideal answer for those needing to carry more gear or organise their rack. They are particularly useful for racking Ice Screws such as the Black Diamond Express. The tooth clip means it will slide on to the harness easily without it moving around once it's on.

Designed with an integrated folding crank allows optimal leverage, making it easier and faster to screw in, saving those precious seconds when climbing.

The Climbing Technology RollNlock is an ultralight pulley and rope clamps that weighs in at just 80g! it's been designed for use in work, rope climbing manoeuvres, rescues and self-rescue situations.

The Petzl Spatha clippable knife is designed to accompany the climber on every outing. The profile of the blade allows easy cutting of ropes and cordage. It has a carabiner hole for attaching the knife to the harness. It is easy to manipulate with its textured wheel, even when wearing gloves, and can be locked in the open position.

The Petzl Tibloc is a compact and ultra-lightweight ascender for use on rope ascents, hauling systems or friction knot replacement in self-rescue situations. The Tibloc has an automatic system that presses the karabiner against the rope to start the braking action. To work well, the original Tibloc should be used with a round bar karabiner. Whilst the new version with the plastic easy release mechanism will work with most karabiners we recommend the Petzl Attache.
