The Wilderness Systems Tarpon E 130 Tandem is a double sit on top kayak that offers lots of fun for family use. This 2 person sit on top kayak is highly versatile for kayaking in the sea, paddling around a lake or even cruising down your favourite river.
The Tarpon 130 design is based around a self bailing hull system for the maximum levels of kayak safety. It then features two exceptionally comfortable padded kayak seats. While this is a tandem sit on to kayak, it does also feature a third seat. This is located in the centre of the kayak and enables it to be paddled as a solo sit on top kayak. This third seat can also be used to locate a small child to make it into a 3 seater kayak. There is plenty of storage on this kayak for stashing your lunch and extra kayaking gear. To ensure the Tarpon 130 is easy to man handle, there are also multiple kayak grab handles.
The Tarpon E 130 is a staff favourite with our Watersports Manager; James. He has got one and uses it on a regular basis with his Children and also his wife.
Wilderness Systems have designed the Tarpon E 130 to incorporate a self-bailing hull system. This ensures that you have good levels of kayak safety whilst out on your kayaking adventures. In the event of a capsize, you can simply roll the kayak back over and jump back on. There are two main seating positions, both of which feature a padded back support that folds flat when not in use.
In the event you are out for a long day, there are 4 areas of storage. Both the bow and stern feature storage elastics which are perfect for keeping a kayak drybag secure, whilst both of the main seating positions incorporate a small kayak hatch. These are great for smaller items. Whilst the kayak hatches are fairly water tight, they are not completely waterproof, so you would still need to use a kayak drybag to protect whatever you put in.
