The Evolv Defy redefines what an entry-level climbing shoe can be. Designed for beginner and intermediate climbers, it offers a slightly cambered and asymmetric fit, providing greater precision and control compared to traditional beginner shoes. This balance of sensitivity and support makes it ideal for climbers looking to progress without sacrificing comfort. With a softer strap closure version compared to the lace-up model, the Defy enhances sensitivity and feedback, making it a great choice for smearing and volume climbing. Whether you're tackling indoor routes or venturing outdoors, this 100% vegan-friendly shoe adapts well to a variety of climbing surfaces.

2024 version:
The Evolv Defy climbing shoe is vegan friendly and has a fit that is ideal for beginners or as a first shoe after using rentals. Its breathable upper and comfortable, easy fit and adjustment make it a great choice for long sessions at the climbing wall / gym where its softer midsole make it great for volumes and slopers. The padded split tongue and two opposing strap hook and loop closure (velcro style) provides easy accessibility, swift removal and a secure fit without the need to crush your feet. More experienced climbers will enjoy the comfort and sensitivity given for longer routes outdoors and good levels of durability due to the thicker rubber rand around the toe. The synthetic upper has an antimicrobial liner to ensure lasting comfort and reduce odours, though we still recommend Boot Banana deoderizers with any rockshoe purchase (but especially synthetic shoes).
