The Islander Kayaks Paradise II Tandem is a fast tandem sit-on-top kayak. While mainly being a 2 person sit on top kayak, there is a third seat that would be ideal for a passenger, however you could also use it as a large solo sit on top kayak.
Islander have designed the Paradise II around a self bailing hull system that delivers the best levels of kayak safety. In the event of capsizing, you can easily turn the kayak over and climb back on. Any water that is then in the seating position will easily drain out of the kayak scupper holes. This kayak features two prominent seats, one at the front and one at the rear, there is also a third seat moulding located centrally on the kayak, this is ideal for a smaller passenger or for using it as a solo sit on top kayak.
The Paradise II comes supplied with two removable padded kayak seats that can be moved from seat to seat as required. A small kayak storage hatch is situated in the centre of the kayak, which is perfect for storing small items. You may also want to consider a kayak dry bag, as this will offer greater protection from the water. Handling the Paradise II is extremely easy due to the front and rear grab handles. Additional side carry handles are ideal for getting the kayak on and off the roof of the car. Located just behind the rear seat is a small moulded in tank well, this is perfect for storing a kayak dry bag.
While the Paradise II is a fast sit on top kayak that is great for coastal kayaking tours, the compact design does mean there isn't as much storage as on other models.
