These are ideal for hard, compact rock such as limestone and dolomite, it's also effective on weathered or slightly damaged surfaces.
Not recommended for soft rock types like sandstone: In such cases, Raumer advise using fixed resin anchors (epoxy) or Multi-Monti screw anchors for better reliability.
