Broadland 16 Duralite

The Silverbirch Canoes Broadland 16 Duralite comes in at just under 16 ft long and is a great lightweight open canoe. The Broadland is extremely versatile, whether you want to paddle on a lake, a canal of your local white water river - the Broadland 16 Duralite will do it! It comes available in either a standard finish or a high line. The high line will give a slightly drier ride if white water paddling. 

The Duralite construction is the premier 3-layer plastic used in Silverbirch's open canoe range. It's blended from the highest grade of high density polyethylene and is featured in both the outer and inner layer of the canoe. These two layers then sandwich a low density foam core, this foam core which has been optimized by Silverbirch to get the best possible results. When all of this is combined, it provides a stiffer, lighter and more durable open canoe. This end results, especially when finished with an ash trim come very close in weight to composite models from alternative brands.

The outer layer of the Duralite construction is available in several main colourways, check out the options above on the drop down menu. The standard inner layer is an off-white which is finished with a colour "fleck" that matches the colour on the outside of the shell.
