The DMM Revolver Wiregate can be used in an improvised hauling system to help your second over a crux, haul kit bags, or rescue your partner from a crevasse. Where normal carabiners in these systems cause energy to be lost as friction, the Revolver's pulley wheel makes hauling easier by converting more of your energy into movement.
The DMM Revolver's pulley wheel reduces friction on ropes moving through the carabiner. Placed where the pitch changes direction, it reduces rope drag and makes upward movement easier.

Small gate notch reduces snagging: Wire gate carabiners require a gate notch to achieve their full strength rating. DMM notches are minimised while remaining functional, to reduce snagging on other equipment.
I-Beam construction for optimum strength to weight ratio: I-Beam construction reduces carabiner weight without compromising strength. It is achieved through hot forging, which allows metal to be formed in complex shapes that improve functionality.
