The Edelrid Hot Knife is a mains powered device that allows you to cut ropes and tape, whilst sealing them at the same time. This is easy to use, you simply squeeze the trigger and the blade heats up. You can cut straight away and it will then seal with rope as you cut.

The DMM Ceros has been designed to help minimise the risk of cross-loading with its internal wire-gate that will keep the karabiner captive on the belay loop. The wire gate opens onto the belay loop in a single movement, plus the intuitive design ensures it is easy to use and rack - even with one hand. The Petzl Attache is a lightweight and compact, pear-shaped karabiner with as screw gate opening.
