Welcome to the watersports section of our website. Up and Under has been supplying watersports equipment since the business opened in 1977. We have a massive amount of knowledge and experience. We are also the largest Canoe and Kayak Store in South Wales and are only 10 minutes drive from, The Cardiff International White Water Centre. (CIWW) If you want to get wet, we will help you get on the water!

Stand Up Paddle Boarding - A fantastic watersport which is all about exploring the local waterways available. Whether you want to SUP on a lake or go paddle boarding on a canal. In this section we cover all your transport requirements. Thigh Grips (with Ratchets)
The Pyranha Thigh Grips with ratchets, these are the thigh braces that are often found in the Pyranha Connect kayaks. They generally are not kept in stock as each kayak is often slightly different. They do all have one common feature, they all feature the thigh brace ratchet which links into the kayak back rest so you can trim the fit to perfection. A well-fitting thigh brace will enhance the performance of any kayak!

The Pyranha Thigh Grips (with no Ratchets) are often found fitted in mid-range kayaks. Pyranha have used these great thigh braces in their sport spec, their rapid spec and also some of the connect river spec kayaks. They offer the same great levels of support as the more advanced thigh grips but they don’t have the ratchets to control the fit of the backrest.

Covert 9.3 Duratough
The Silverbirch Canoes Covert 9.3 Duratough is a white water open canoe that's been designed and built here in the UK. It features a single layer polyethylene shell, which is finished with ash gunwales, as well as front and rear grab handles. The mid-section of the canoe is fitted with a foam saddle and adjustable pedal footrests, whilst the bow and stern are laced, for the easy addition of some airbags.
